Brian Theado 15Feb03 Update: The code in CVS contains full cut/copy/paste functionality. The next release (should be within a few weeks--look for a version greater than 0.85) will contain this functionality.
Cut/copy/paste within a single outline and between multiple outlines should work. In addition text copied from another application can be pasted in. The structure of the resulting tree fragment is derived based on the indent level of each line (tabs and/or spaces).
Brian Theado 12-Nov-02- It would be nice if tkoutline supported cut/copy/paste functionality. Currently (0.85) Ctrl-c and Ctrl-v work for copying and pasting text, but not for tree structures.
- Cut and paste of tree structure within the same outline can be simulated by using node movement operations.
- Copy and paste of tree structure within the same outline can be simulated by using duplicate node/duplicate subtree functionality
- Cut/Copy/Paste of tree structure to a different outline can be accomplished (painfully) with the save subtree/load subtree functionality
- Cut/Copy/Paste tree structure to another application--not sure what the behavior can or should be
Here is some documentation on Tcl/Tk clipboard/selection
